Psychology – a modern perspective. Natalia Vladimirovna Rodina.

The emergence of humans as a new life form on Earth marked a new stage in the evolution of consciousness. While multiple forms of life had developed over millions of years prior to the appearance of humans, evolving from primitive oceanic sponges to humanoid apes, the emergence of humans approximately 500,000 years ago set a new course for evolution — the evolution of divine potential in physical form of animal origin. All forms of life — plants, animals, the mineral and crystal kingdoms, and fungi — are endowed with the consciousness of the Creator, the very source of life. However, the human form possesses creative power and the ability to create reality through the interaction of natural human attributes such as mind, intellect, soul and subtle bodies. Throughout human evolution, transformative events have occurred, gradually unlocking and developing divine potential. Initially, this manifested as primitive, instinctive behaviour in humans living in the wild, and has progressed to the current level of moral and ethical principles in modern society. The steady progress of human consciousness is not accidental and is aimed at the spiritualisation of the mind, which will open up to humanity a state of unity with the world, life, and the source.

Thus, attempts to understand human nature and its role in the evolution of the planet led to the emergence of related fields and disciplines, which subsequently acquired scientific status. One such discipline is psychology. This text is not intended to reveal the history of the emergence and development of this science, as this information is widely available in online and print sources. However, it is worth paying attention to shifting emphases in approaches to the study of the nature of human beings in the context of modernity. So, psychology – a modern perspective: What can we observe in today's world, and what answers can we find to questions such as 'Who is a person?', 'What is the driving force behind human behaviour and choices?', and 'How can we solve a person's psycho-emotional problems?'

When questions arise, reliance is placed on either one's own knowledge or information obtained from multiple sources in order to find answers and solutions. Although psychology and other sciences have recently insisted that the human brain holds the answers to questions about the structure of the human psyche and mind, we cannot ignore ancient sources of knowledge and sacred writings such as the Vedic scriptures of ancient India and the Tripitaka of Buddhism, whose essence revolves around the idea of ‘knowing oneself’. Thousands of years ago, sages received information and knowledge which was then passed on to subsequent generations. These ancient sources speak of the subtle nature of humans, the existence of chakras as energy centres in the human energy structure, omnipresent and ever-present consciousness, creation from nothingness, and the interconnectedness of the internal and external worlds. In Hinduism, there is a concept called 'void' – 'emptiness', 'nothingness as potential for creation'. But what were these knowledgeable people talking about when they didn't have access to the technological devices and neuroscientific innovations that have appeared in the modern world? Perhaps the sages and teachers of ancient times had access to information fields of consciousness from which they derived their insights into the structure of the world and life, the knowledge which never perishes. Perhaps modern psychological science encourages us to acknowledge the role of subtle human energy structures — such as the soul, consciousness, mind, intellect, subtle bodies and chakras — in self-knowledge and self-realisation. This allows us to understand how humans interact with the world and the purpose of their life experience on this planet.

It is impossible to understand the complex, multi-level and multifaceted nature of human beings without realising the unity and involvement of humans in the subtle matter of life, the cosmos and the universe. Attempts to fragment the holistic and indivisible nature of existence will lead to a dead end; perhaps humanity is already approaching this today. Modern scientific research and discoveries confirm the existence of deep subatomic and subnuclear levels of physical matter formation consisting of fluctuating energy fields. The scientific community is already discussing the primary level of reality creation. Everything consists of consciousness, and due to the peculiarities of the neural network's structure, the brain acts as a kind of retransmitter or converter of waves of information coming from spatial fields in this process. This suggests that learning to understand and master oneself involves the ability to correctly engage with surrounding and internal energies.

The modern perspective of psychology is undergoing a transformation towards an integrated scientific and spiritual approach. In this process, psychological science is moving beyond identifying consciousness with form — a concept that has prevailed on Earth for millennia. Once again, understanding human nature is inextricably linked to comprehending the profound transformative processes taking place on Earth. Until December 2012, the planet was gradually preparing to enter a new level of consciousness. It was shifting from the third to the fourth dimension of life. This process is currently taking place and will entail profound changes in our understanding of the world and, consequently, in all sciences that seek to explain life.

The modern perspective of psychology is also rethinking the fundamental principles that guide people in their attempts to understand themselves. This is due to the expansion of consciousness during the quantum transition process. Matter is the final, visible result of formed reality, and the brain is no exception.  Searching for answers in matter without considering other components of the human psyche is counterproductive: it is going around in circles, while a person's soul and subtle bodies suffer in the face of psychological or mental problems. If a psychologist cannot help this person due to the limited scope of psychological interventions, isn't that also going around in circles? Perhaps the reason for the current impasse is that the fundamental layer of human nature has been excluded from study: the soul, subtle bodies and energies, and energy centres (chakras), as these states are considered unprovable and abstract. However, wouldn't healing such a person's suffering contribute to the healing and enlightenment of the consciousness of all humanity, as part of the universe and cosmos?

Here, we need to understand the meaning of the word 'psychology'. Translated from Ancient Greek, it consists of two parts: ‘psyche’ (ψυχή) meaning ‘soul’, and ‘logos’ (λόγος) meaning ‘knowledge’ or ‘study’. Therefore, psychology is intended to study the human soul. However, university textbooks do not discuss the soul, explaining this by the fact that its invisible nature cannot be proven. However, the fact that scientists have learned to scan the human brain and study in detail the parts of the brain responsible for various functions does not mean that the human mind and mental activity are determined exclusively by the work of the brain. Of course, physical or biochemical trauma and disorders affecting the brain will naturally result in 'breakdowns' and affect overall functionality, which is also reflected in various deviations from a normal, healthy life. If the brain, as a mechanism for capturing information and energy waves from space, is damaged, the transmission and processing of data will be incomplete. However, the idea that the brain is the repository of consciousness is already being reconsidered, and humanity is gradually beginning to explore areas that psychological science has long been reluctant to investigate.

In the context of profound transformations at all levels of life, resulting from quantum changes on the planet and in space, the primary objective of modern psychological science is to expand the potential of consciousness. This involves realising the true triune nature of human beings (body, mind and soul) and learning to harness it to manifest the divine potential inherent in each individual. Modern psychology is focused on studying the nature of the soul and the subtle structure of human beings, as well as mastering the mechanisms of mental self-regulation and harmonisation. This includes controlling thoughts, emotions, and feelings as internal tools for creating life processes. After all, humans possess the ability to modify energy and create through a unified process involving thoughts, emotions and feelings. Understanding the nature of energy in thoughts and feelings as a creative force reveals that this force must be learned to control. A lack of true self-knowledge — not knowledge of one's personal life history, but knowledge of the constituent aspects of human nature — leads to apathy, a sense of life's meaninglessness, depression and neuroses. This is because the main goal of life has been missed: the evolution of consciousness, which involves knowing oneself through experience and revealing one's divine potential.

When one begins to truly know oneself, one fulfils the soul's most important task: revealing eternal divine knowledge through experience. Such a person understands that life holds meaning and is not random. Cosmic reality is devoid of randomness. Many reincarnations in different forms and roles were necessary for this moment in life to become what it is — even the suffering experienced at this moment has deep meaning and purpose. If psychology continues to deny higher states of human consciousness beyond recognised senses of perception, scientific research will remain limited and ineffective. If the true goal of psychological research is to find effective ways to solve and heal the psychological and mental problems facing humanity, it is worth considering the numerous studies on the influence of subtle, invisible states on matter, humans, and life, and understanding the root cause and mechanism of the formation of the world of forms. A person's inner state directly affects the structure of their DNA, meaning that their life programme is not set in stone and is not static. These codes are written each time a person acquires a particular experience, makes decisions and choices. This line of thinking, based on scientific experiments, leads to the realisation that people create themselves and their lives every minute, and that this process does not end when they die. These formed codes constitute a person's unique experience — the only true treasure that one comes to find in this world.

The modern perspective of psychology is focused on understanding the true nature of human beings, including extrasensory abilities, the boundless potential of consciousness, the soul, subtle bodies and energy centres. This approach considers human development and evolution in visible physical form — the seventh dense body — as well as in subtle bodies and subtle dimensions of life. Thus, parapsychology is the science of the future. Its goal is to reveal to humans their highest, truest divine nature, and to teach them to understand and manage it in order to create a harmonious, healthy life. Over time, the prefix 'para' will become redundant and disappear, as humanity remembers that their purpose on this planet is to realise their soul through experience — and isn't that the true purpose of 'psychology'?
